💗 About Trixie
Trixie is a happy, affectionate 7-year-old Blenheim Cavalier with a wonderfully easy-going nature. Although she previously lived as a breeding dog within a home environment rather than a commercial setting, she has settled beautifully into rescue life and is a confident, friendly girl who enjoys being part of everyday family life.
She absolutely loves people, is brilliant with other dogs, and has a lovely, cheerful personality that makes her a pleasure to have around. Trixie enjoys her walks, travels very well in the car, and generally takes life in her stride.
She is used to living with other dogs and will need at least one friendly resident dog in her forever home for companionship and familiarity. Trixie really enjoys canine company and thrives in a social environment.
Trixie has already had several important procedures completed in rescue, including her dental work, vaccinations, and spay surgery, and she is now ready to find a forever home committed to continuing her ongoing care and keeping her healthy long term.
She is currently on a weight loss journey, which will be very important for her comfort and overall wellbeing going forward.
🐾 Health & Medical Needs
✅ Health conditions: Chiari-like malformation (CM) pain, currently well controlled on Gabapentin. Dry eye (KCS), currently managed with Optimmune treatment. Skin allergies, including Malassezia affecting the ears, feet, and belly, are currently managed with medication. Previous patella surgery in her former home, which is currently doing very well. Heart clear.
💊 On medication? Yes – Gabapentin for CM pain, Optimmune for dry eye, and Numelvi for allergy management.
Trixie will require adopters committed to continuing her ongoing medication and keeping her at a healthy weight for her long-term well-being.
