About Prince

Prince is a gorgeous 9 year old Tricolour Cavalier that came into rescue when his owner very sadly passed away.

Prince is a really sweet boy, he loves other dogs as that is what he has been used to. He will however take himself off to explore on his own and is confident to do so. He is an 'outdoorsy' boy and will happily spend hours out in the garden sniffing every blade of grass! He has enjoyed our secure paddock so in his forever home it would be nice if he could find somewhere similar to go off lead safely.

He enjoys going out and about and travels very well.He loves everyone he meets and is super at greeting other dogs and new people. You can literally take him anywhere and he is excellent.

He loves being fussed and is a very well-behaved boy. He can be left for short periods with no issues at all, he will snuggle up with his buddies and settle quickly.

Prince has recently had a major dental and been neutered. He has a grade 2 heart murmur, this will need monitoring and a follow up echocardiogram in 6-12 months, he does not need medication currently. He is deaf/hard of hearing like many Cavaliers his age but it doesn't worry him. He has mild Syringomyelia for which he is on (inexpensive) pain relief.

Prince is attending weekly hydrotherapy which is really helping with his muscle loss and weakness due to his hip dysplasia. He very much enjoys these sessions and does so well, he took to the treadmill so quickly. He will need to continue these weekly treadmill hydrotherapy sessions in his forever home.

He is looking for a loving home with other dog(s), children over 8 years would be fine. He is not cat tested but at request we can do this.

Prince is in foster in North Lincolnshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet. Please can we remind not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time, you are more than welcome to email us with any [email protected]
