About Jody

Jody is a gorgeous 4 year old black and tan Cavalier that came into rescue from a pet home.

Jody needs time to settle into a new environment, but once she is settled her true personality starts to show. She loves to give cuddles and also loves having cuddles back, given the chance she will stay with you everywhere you go, even the bathroom!

She loves to play with toys but will try her best to destroy them! Jody will need some tough toys so that she doesn't ingest any of them! She loves to lay on the sofa or sleep on the bed, but with a little persuasion she will sleep on her own bed at night in the bedroom. She loves her food but did come into rescue overweight, so her portions need to be well controlled and her weight well managed. She will try to pinch food from the kitchen worktop also!

She doesn't appreciate getting wet outside- like many Cavaliers! She can be a little stubborn to go out so will need to be encouraged. She is really good while she is being brushed and groomed, she doesn't mind at all.

Her hearing isn't perfect but there is an element of Jody ignoring you when she is doing something more interesting! Jody came into rescue with pretty severe skin allergies, she is on medication for this and this will need to be continued in her forever home. She has had a dental and a lumpectomy while in rescue- the lump was benign. She currently is heart clear and has no other known health problems.

Jody is a special girl looking for a loving home, either with other dogs or as an only dog. She can live with resident or visiting children 8+.
