About Hattie

Hattie is a beautiful, 4 year old Springer Spaniel that came into rescue from a breeder.

She is a super happy-go-lucky kind of girl. She can be nervous when meeting strangers but she quickly trusts you and then you'll have a ball being repeatedly dropped by your feet! She loves her ball, for Hattie everything revolves around her ball and it brings her so much happiness.

She does pull on her lead and is strong although she is a fast learner and in her new home will continue to improve, at the moment everything is super exciting. There is a whole world out there that she wants to explore yet. Her adopter must be strong and willing to continue train her to be a pet dog, she has already started to take those steps in her foster home. She will be anxious in new situations and needs reassurance, this is something that will take time.

She will need long walks twice a day and lots of stimulation and play time. Her toilet training is going really well and will need to be continued in her forever home, ex breeders can have the odd accident for some time. She travels well in the car although can get quite excited and do some spinning!

She has been an absolute joy to foster, we have had so much fun playing with her and watching her changing as she has let her guard down.

Hattie has been spayed while with us and had a tumour removed, fortunately this was benign with no further action required. She came into rescue with some skin problems, she is doing really well with her treatment and will need to remain on daily medication for her skin. Otherwise she is fit and well.

Hattie absolutely must have at least one resident dog in her new home to help her with the transition to becoming a confident, well rounded and adjusted girl. She very much looks to other dogs for guidance. She is not cat tested and cannot be rehomed with children, or visiting children, under 14 years old.

Hattie is in foster in North Lincolnshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet.
