About Jessie

Jessie is a lovely 4 year old ruby Cavalier who came into rescue from a pet home.

She is a happy little girl who loves her walks, playing with her ball in the garden or snuggling up to her foster family on the sofa.

Jessie is fully house trained and will let you know if she needs to go out. She will chase pigeons, squirrels and cats if they come into the garden. She responds well to her name, comes when called and sits on request. Jessie does travel well in the car although this does cause her a little anxiety, she happily walks on a lead but looks for reassurance whilst walking. She very much enjoys her walks so her adopters must be able to give her good quality, interesting walks twice a day. She shows no sign of aggression and will happily greet people and dogs.

She is happy to be washed, brushed, ears cleaned and nails clipped. She currently sleeps in the kitchen at night and can be left for short periods of time quite happily.

Whilst in rescue Jessie has been diagnosed with bladder crystals. This condition will need to be monitored by 3/6 monthly urine tests at the vets for the rest of her life she has also started a prescription diet and will need to remain on this to ensure that the crystals don’t advance into stones. She has also had a dental including scale and polish. She is currently heart clear and has no other know health problems.

She is still a little over weight this is slowly reducing with diet and exercise and will need to be monitored until she is at a healthy level. Further help to achieve this can be provided by our Cavalier Fat Club which her adopter will be required to join on Facebook.

We are looking to re home her with one other confident dog in a quiet home with someone who is around most of the day to give her lots of attention with no resident children under 14 years or cats.

Jessie is in foster in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet.
