About Maisie

Maisie is a beautiful 8 year old Cavalier that came into rescue from a pet home. Please do read her biography very carefully before applying as she does have behavioural issues.

Very sadly over the years prior to coming into rescue Maisie was attacked by dogs in her previous home. This has contributed to her being very anxious around other dogs, she does not want them to be near her and will growl, lunge and snap at them. She has guarding behaviours around her favourite humans also and does not like them to be approached by visitors to the home or other dogs. She needs to learn to trust again and has vastly improved since being on her own without other dogs.

Maisie walks beautifully on the lead, if she sees other dogs when out walking they don’t bother her and she does not growl at them. She is an absolutely beautiful dog on her own and loves to be next to you. She sleeps in her foster parents bedroom in her crate so she is not anxious. She can be left for short periods, initially she will bark but will settle.

In the right home with a commited adopter we hope she will continue to relax and become someones princess. She deserves now to be happy and to leave the anxiety behind her.

She is healthy, heart clear with no known health problems, She has had a dental with extractions and is fully vaccinated.

Maisie needs a home strictly without children, visiting and resident children must be 14+. She cannot be rehomed with other dogs, cats or small furries. Please do not apply unless you can fulfill all of her needs.
