Daisy Tricolour Cavalier Puppy
We are looking for a wonderful forever home for the adorable Daisy.
Daisy is 13 weeks old and full of life. She is energetic, happy, friendly and loves people but more importantly for Daisy, she is thriving playing with another young dog.
Puppies cannot be left for long periods of time, so we are looking for adopters who are home most of the time. Daisy does not enjoy being left at the moment, and this will need to be carefully built up over time. She will need puppy classes, socialisation, regular stimulation, and ongoing training.
She loves her food and responds well to training with healthy treats. She is learning the word No, but like all puppies, she likes to chew, nibble and bite and has sharp puppy teeth. Despite her many toys, she will look for other opportunities both in the garden and in the house to try new things to chew and eat. You have to have eyes on her whenever she is awake. We are looking for adopters who are available and have the time and energy to commit to Daisy’s daily development.
She loves having a good-sized garden with a grassed area to play in with her toys and to zoom around with a playmate. She is starting lead walks but is still nervous and needs a variety of quiet areas to walk and sniff alongside a companion dog. She travels well in a car. She is crate-trained and happily sleeps in her crate within the foster bedroom area. She eats well, is house-trained, and is a joy to foster. As yet, she is unsure how to tell you she wants to go out, but if taken out regularly, she has no accidents in the house.
Daisy has been vet assessed and has no known health issues. She has been fully vaccinated, flea/worm treatments, and when appropriate time-wise, she must be spayed. The adopter will sign a spay contract as part of the adoption.
Daisy can be rehomed with children over 10 years who can appreciate the needs of a puppy. Daisy does need a home with at least one playful young dog, ideally a Cavalier if possible or another small breed. She has not been cat tested, but a dog-savvy cat should be fine, and Daisy will learn how to respond. At the moment, she wants anyone and everyone to play with her and can be persistent.
Daisy is in foster in Beverley, East Yorkshire. Her adopter(s) must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/or a letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
Please only apply when you have discussed this with all family members, are committed to offering the dog a home, and have fully considered their needs.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within five days of a successful home check. Can we please remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time.
