Tucker 11 month old Cavalier X puppy
Tucker is a handsome 13-month-old Cavalier X looking for a wonderful forever home.
He loves exercise, exploring and walks. He will need ongoing training before being let off the lead, as he can ignore you completely in favour of sniffing! He travels really well in the back seat with a harness and clip-in seat belt. We are looking for a home for him with a confident and kind young dog.
He is a super cuddly and kissy boy who loves nothing more than draping his body over you so he can give you billions of kisses! Tucker loves a sofa session in the evenings for cuddles, and he adores other dogs.
Tucker is an absolute sweetheart, but he came to the rescue due to his resource guarding. He has been a food and resource guarder in the past, so we have eliminated that issue by feeding him his meals and treats separately and being mindful of when toys are being played with. He has made excellent progress, although he can be quite ignorant! Due to his young age, he will do well with some further training. He does know the basics, though, and is extremely intelligent.
He is neutered, has no known health issues currently and is up to date with vaccinations and parasite preventatives. If we had to guess the cross he is, it looks like something like a dachshund could be possible as he has a longer body and short legs although it was thought there could be some Peke in him too.
He cannot be rehomed with cats or children under 12.
Tucker is in foster in North Lincolnshire. His adopter(s) must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/or a letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
Please only apply when you have discussed this with all family members, are committed to offering the dog a home, and have fully considered their needs.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within five days of a successful home check. Can we please remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time. You are more than welcome to email us with any [email protected]
