Mona – Adopted

Reenie is a 5-year-old Blenheim Cavalier available for adoption. She is an ex-breeding girl who needs a special family to spoil her with love and affection. A reduced adoption fee applies.

Her human is very important to her, and she likes to follow them everywhere, even the bathroom! Her foster family have been working on her being brave and not panicking when her human leaves the room. She manages well in a covered crate when her foster family have to go out for short periods.

She gets on well with the other dogs in the family and when on walks. She still needs to build a bit more confidence on walks. As she is hard of hearing,  it’s taking a little longer to build her confidence, but it will not affect her quality of life. She sleeps happily in a crate at night in the same room as her humans. She needs to continue her house training but she is doing well and now goes to the door to indicate she needs to go out.

Reenie has a grade 4 heart murmur; following an echocardiogram, she has started heart meds which she will need to continue. She also has chiari malformation pain in the form of headaches and neck pain but now has her pain managed well. Her medication is inexpensive when purchased via prescription from the vet, and she is now happy and not painful. She has had an extensive dental and is really feeling the benefit from this.

She needs a dog companion to help her settle into her new home. Reenie can be rehomed with older children of 10+ years; she is not cat tested. She will be a great addition to a family that wants a dog to shower love on and receive loads back!

Reenie is in foster in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Her adopters must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.

The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within 5 days of a successful home check.
