About Daisy

Daisy is an 11 year old Cavalier sweetheart looking for her special forever home.

Daisy came into rescue in extremely sad circumstances when her owner passed away. Prior to that home she was a breeding dog on a puppy farm and had been rescued a few years ago.

She is such a loving girl when she gets to know you, there is nothing better than snuggling up on the sofa together for her. She loves lots of attention and cuddles. Initially she is very nervous when meeting new people but she quickly responds to gentle touch and love.

She enjoys mooching around the garden and short walks. She tells us she would love to go on a little holiday in the UK, a few pub lunches and to the seaside. Daisy also would like it known that she intends to sleep on her adopters bed, she is a senior lady that we feel is entitled to this luxury after so many years suffering.

Daisy very much needs to be with at least one confident dog, she needs them to make her feel secure and safe. When she met Cody her world changed, the real cheeky Daisy shone through. Ideally her forever home will be reasonably quiet with no small resident children. She isn't phased at all by cats and gets on well with all dogs.

Her hoomans must be around most of the time to shower her with love and cuddles. She can be left for short periods with no problems.

Daisy has a grade 3 heart murmur, she had an echo with us and has started pimobendan. She is not symptomatic. She has chiari malformation with pain and mild syringomyelia as so many very sadly do, she takes pain relief for this and will need to stay on this. She also has dry eye which is being well managed with Optimmune.

Please don't overlook Daisy because of her age, she has so much love to give a family. She doesn't need lots of exercise and will happily potter around with you in the garden and accompany you on a leg stretch out and about. Daisy is just fabulous and there will be some tears when she is adopted as she has stolen a piece of our hearts.

Daisy is in foster in North Lincolnshire. Her adoption fee is reduced due to her age, to be discussed during telephone interview. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet. Please can we remind not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time, you are more than welcome to email us with any [email protected]

Please read our adoption procedure prior to filling in the online form. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
