About Alfie

Alfie is a handsome 3 year old ruby Cavalier that came into rescue from a pet home.

As you can see, Alfie really is a stunning boy. He is super human orientated and very needy for attention, he sadly suffers from anxiety. He is a high energy boy that requires plenty of exercise, stimulation and training- he will not be happy to sit on the sofa all day and needs a fit and active home.

He hadn't been well socialised prior to coming into rescue but has really improved since his arrival. He does still get anxious in new situations and really doesn't like loud noises or busy places. He will need ongoing training in his new home and plenty of socialisation work to be built upon very gradually.

He loves to play and really enjoys playing with a ball and will request that you play with him! He does really like calm dogs but gets worried by over-boisterous dogs.

He will bark frantically at the hoover, he is a barker so please consider this before applying. He travels really well and is great at the vets.

Alfie has Chiari Malformation with pain so is on pain relief for this- approx cost £15 a month. His condition is some of the reason he suffers with anxiety, since the introduction of the pain relief he has really started to improve so much. He has no other known health problems.

To conclude, Alfie is a darling boy who will shower you with love but he needs an active adopter that will continue his training. He will happily live with other dogs but he is needy. Children must be 12+. He does not like cats.

Alfie is in foster in North Lincolnshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet.
