Blenheim Cavalier
Bonnie is a 5-year-old girl who was found abandoned and taken into care by a lovely vet. She has been used as a breeding dog and now needs a wonderful forever home where the adopter is around most of the time.
She can still be quite nervous around humans and will need a quiet place where she can go when she needs to. She needs to be rehomed with another resident dog to help with her confidence and show her how to become the diva she should be.
Bonnie is still a bit nervous when out on her harness, but is improving, so she will need an adopter to work with her at her own pace. This can take some time, especially with ex-breeding dogs that are not used to going out walking. Bonnie can be rehomed with dog-experienced children over 10, as long as they understand to give her space when she needs it. She is cat-tested and good with cats; she is currently in a multi-cat foster home.
She has a low-grade heart murmur and does not require medication yet; she has had an echocardiogram while in rescue and is currently a B1. She has no other known health issues and is vaccinated and up to date with parasite treatments.
Bonnie is in foster in Canterbury, Kent. Her adopters must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/or a letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within 5 days of a successful home check. Can we please remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time.
