About Roy

Roy is a handsome 2-year-old black and tan Cavalier who is happiest when he’s glued to his human’s side. He adores cuddles and will happily follow you from room to room; he really does want to be part of everything you’re doing.

Roy travels well in the car and walks beautifully on the lead, though he can sometimes get a bit excited and bark at other dogs when out and about. At home, he can be cheeky with food; he’s not above stealing from another dog’s bowl or even your plate if given the chance! He also has a tendency to guard treats, so his new family will need to be confident in setting clear, positive boundaries.

He is good with other dogs and cats and can live with children aged five and above. However, Roy does struggle with separation anxiety and really needs a home where someone is around most of the time to give him the reassurance he craves.

Roy has had his tear ducts flushed due to narrowing, which causes his eyes to water, but otherwise, he is a healthy boy with no ongoing medical issues.

With the right support and consistency, Roy will make a loyal, affectionate, and entertaining companion, the perfect shadow for someone who loves having a Cavalier by their side.
