Posie is a beautiful 4-year-old Blenheim Cavalier looking for her wonderful forever home.

Posie’s confidence is really improving each day, and we are seeing a bit of a cheeky side to her, which is lovely. She came to the rescue from a breeder and now enjoys the diva Cavalier lifestyle. She is a very nervous girl around humans, especially men, and really does rely on her dog friends a lot. Her adopters will need to be patient as it might take some time for her to trust. She is a young girl with a whole life of fun ahead of her.

She is still a bit nervous when out on her harness, so she will need an adopter to work with her at her own pace. She would be much happier walking in quiet, rural places as she isn’t used to road noise. She loves exploring off lead in a secured paddock to be outside. She enjoys sitting on the sofa with her friends, and she loves her food, and we have won her over with treats. She is very prey motivated, so she loves to chase birds, squirrels, and anything small and fast!

Sadly Posie really isn’t keen on men, especially strangers. This is more difficult when you have visitors. She isn’t really a cuddly girl and likes her own space; as she settles into her forever home, she hopefully will become loving in time. She is becoming better, but it has been a slow process.

She is currently heart clear, thankfully. Sadly, she has chiari malformation pain; her pain was quite severe when she arrived. She has seen the neurologist, and they have tweaked her pain relief and the new medication that works extremely well for her.  She also has dry eye, so she is on veterinary-prescribed medication, which must be continued.

Posie cannot be rehomed with children or visiting children under 12 years. She absolutely needs at least one confident dog in her forever home.

Posie is in foster in North Lincolnshire. Her adopters must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.

The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within 5 days of a successful home check.
