Polly Blenheim Cavalier

Polly is a 5-year-old Blenheim Cavalier girl who came from a breeding establishment and is now looking for her forever home.

A reduced adoption fee applies.

She has settled well in foster care and gets along with other dogs. She is also quite confident with people; she loves a fuss and a cuddle.

Polly likes spending her evenings on the back of the sofa beside her foster mum. After having her bedtime treat, she sleeps well at night in a crate in her foster mum’s bedroom.

She is having a second puppyhood and is being a bit mischievous, exploring things she hasn’t done before! When it’s time for a treat, she can be a monkey, pushing the others out of the way, so she needs to learn some doggy manners. She isn’t keen on cats and has wanted to chase ones she has seen out on walks, but she has been good with every dog she has seen.

She is beginning to come out of her shell, and a cheeky little character is forming. She needs a confident resident dog to help her further and someone around most of the time. She is okay with being left for short periods but loves company.

Polly is heart clear. She has had an extensive dental with all but 2 teeth removed but is managing well and becoming a real foodie.  She also has Chiari malformation with pain that is now being really well managed with inexpensive medication. Having the extensive dental has really helped with her pain, too. She has dry eye in both eyes but has improved massively with treatment. This will have to be continued for the rest of her life. She is neutered and up to date with parasite preventatives and vaccinations.

She is a sweet, wonderful little girl who deserves the right family with children or visiting 10+ who understands that because of her background, she may need her own space and quiet. With her wagging tail and cheeky personality, she has lots of love to give.

Polly is in foster in Wakefield, Yorkshire. Her adopter(s) must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/or a letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
Please only apply when you have discussed this with all family members, are committed to offering the dog a home, and have fully considered their needs.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within five days of a successful home check. Can we please remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time.
