These two lovely girls are looking for a peaceful forever home to enjoy their golden years. They came into our care under very sad circumstances, but have been absolutely wonderful in foster. Their foster family describes them as no trouble at all โ€“ just a joy to have around.

Bella and Maisie will be adopted through our Bliss Lifelong Support Adoption Scheme, meaning the rescue will provide ongoing support for their pre-existing medical conditions. This helps ensure they get the care they need, while still enjoying life in a loving forever home.

๐Ÿถ Maisie (12) โ€“ Cavalier x Shih Tzu

Maisie is a calm, gentle soul who hasnโ€™t barked once in foster! She adores tummy rubs and will give a sweet nose kiss in return. She enjoys her naps and pottering in the garden, and sheโ€™s happy to go on short walks. For longer adventures, she rides comfortably in a buggy when sheโ€™s had enough. Maisie Cavalier X Shihtzu

Maisie had a heart scan in foster due to a loud murmur. Sheโ€™s not on medication currently but will require monitoring with future scans, which will be supported under the scheme. She was also referred to a cardiologist for an arrhythmia, but thankfully they found no cause for concern and signed her off. She had some fur loss and dry skin when she arrived, but this has improved massively with a good diet and a few baths โ€“ though her coat remains fine in some areas.

Maisie is relaxed around other dogs and people โ€“ she simply prefers calm companions who give her a little space.

๐Ÿถ Bella (11) โ€“ Cavalier

Bella is full of fun and cheekiness โ€“ she may be 11, but she behaves like a puppy! She absolutely adores other dogs, no matter their size, and gets very excited when doggy visitors come to the house. Sheโ€™s precious to watch when she sleeps, curling her paws under her like a tiny baby.

Bella loves cuddles, but belly rubs are her favourite โ€“ she greets her foster dad by rolling onto her back for a tummy tickle! She doesnโ€™t let being hard of hearing or having a cataract in one eye stop her from living life to the full.

While in foster, Bella had a heart scan and has started heart medication (covered by the scheme). She also has dry eye and is now on lifelong eye drops, and she showed signs of CM/SM when she arrived. Since starting inexpensive medication, sheโ€™s improved hugely โ€“ she has a whole new lease on life! Bella loves her walks โ€“ big walks, little walks, meeting dogs and people โ€“ sheโ€™s up for it all.
