About Lilly Bea
Lilly Bea is a 16-month-old Blenheim Cavalier who has already overcome an incredibly tough start to life. After suffering from severe orthopaedic issues requiring bilateral patella surgeries and a later corrective operation, sheโs finally feeling well and ready to enjoy being a happy, playful young Cavalier.
Sheโs recently been signed off by her orthopaedic specialist and is doing brilliantly, but her exercise must continue to build up very gradually. Right now, sheโs on very short walks and loves playing and exploring at home. Despite her difficult start, sheโs full of personality, cheeky, sassy, gobby, bouncy, and eager to please.
Lilly Bea is still very puppy-like, loves her toys, and enjoys playing with other dogs. She needs another friendly resident dog to help her grow in confidence and to share her adventures. She can be vocal when excited and has some separation anxiety, so she needs someone home most of the time.
She was born with severe luxating patellas in both knees, which required surgery with an orthopaedic specialist, and one knee later needed a further revision procedure. She has now been spayed, and her recovery has been excellent. Sheโs bright, happy, and ready to enjoy life as a normal young Cavalier. She was also diagnosed with ulcerative eosinophilic stomatitis, a mild allergic condition affecting the back of her mouth. This completely resolved after switching to a hydrolysed diet, and she will need to remain on that specific diet long-term to prevent it from returning.
Because of her long recovery period, Lilly Bea has missed out on some crucial early training, so sheโll need guidance, structure, and gentle consistency to help her reach her full potential. With patience and love, this special girl will thrive, bringing endless affection, loyalty, and laughter to her new family.
