Elsie and Ivey are 16 months old and are lively little girls looking for a wonderful forever home with, ideally, an experienced Cavalier owner. We call them the ‘Cheeky Girls’ for good reason!

The girls are little pocket rockets, full of fun and mischief! They spend their days playing and absolutely love their walks and new experiences. They are great with everyone they meet, including all other dogs. They are little monkeys where cats, small furries and birds are concerned.

They are young dogs, so they will need stimulation and decent exercise. They really must do some training also, something fun for them that will help with bonding with their adopters. Having a bonded pair from the same litter can be difficult as they tend to ignore you and engage with each other! But although they are incredibly cheeky they are a lot of fun and they have broken lots of hearts while in rescue. They enjoy snuggling up with you and you will never have a cold lap.

They can be silly with their eating and sometimes decide not to eat their food. It is a behavioural issue and for the most part when in a routine, they have improved a lot. We will explain and help the adopter with this.

The girls are heart clear but have mild chiari malformation with pain and are on very inexpensive pain relief (approx £10 a month using a prescription). Ivey has a luxating knee, at the moment, it doesn’t need surgery imminently but it likely will in future.

The cheeky girls need a fun but firm forever home, they can live with children and other dogs but they cannot live with cats. Their adopter does need to be around most of the time, although they can be left for short periods with no issues.

Elsie and Ivey are in foster in North Lincolnshire. Their adopters must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract/letter from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.

The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within 5 days of a successful home check.
