About Betty

Betty is a 7-year-old girl who came into rescue through no fault of her own. She arrived uncomfortable and needing some TLC, but is getting the care β€” and the life β€” she truly deserves.

Reduced adoption fee applies.

She has had a much-needed dental procedure and now receives affordable pain relief. The result? A whole new Betty – bursting with energy, sass, and joy!

Now that she’s pain-free, she’s acting like a 7-month-old puppy. She chases toys, play-fights, and has regular zoomies around the house. With all that fun comes the need for some basic training, just like you would with a puppy. She needs clear boundaries and calm, consistent guidance, especially with resource guarding, which has been minor in foster, thanks to the resident dogs giving her space.

Betty is a confident little character who loves people and is friendly with other dogs on walks. She may bark at visiting dogs at home at first, but soon settles once she’s had a sniff and decides they’re not a threat.

She does have some hearing loss and can struggle to locate the source of sound. Her foster carer has found that a whistle works better than calling her name – a useful tip to keep in mind.

Betty is also on allergy medication and eats a sensitive diet, but she’s not fussy – she’ll eat anything put in front of her!

This girl is full of fun, sass, and heart. She’s looking for a family who will help her continue this second puppyhood with plenty of love, patience, and structure.

🏑 Adoption Criteria

🏑 Type of home required: An active, experienced home with someone around most of the time. Betty requires structured training, patient guidance, and is not suitable for children under 15 due to guarding behaviours. She must live with respectful, calm resident dogs, if any.
