About Maggie May

Maggie May is 12 years young, she a petite bossy little Cavalier girl and a complete diva who has her foster parents wrapped right around her little paws.

She is an absolute little treasure to have around. She really needs someone around all of the time, Maggie May can get quite anxious when left and will bark for attention if she can’t see you but knows you are still around. She gets very excited and vocal at dinner time, enjoys her walks then will happily snooze the afternoon away on the sofa.

Maggie May is deaf but seems to cope remarkably well with this. This little lady has found her way into her foster parents bed at night and as you can well imagine she has requested we find her a home where she will be spoilt and pampered like a Princess and be allowed to continue to do this.

Maggie May does have dry eye, mild Syringomyelia and a grade 4/5 heart murmur, she has had an echo and a dental since arriving into rescue. All conditions are well controlled at the moment with medication, she will need to continue with the medication in her new home. Thankfully none of the above majorly impact her day to day life . The Syringomyelia along with a little bit of arthritis in her hips, which is to be expected for a lady of her age, has led to her developing slight weakness in her rear legs.

Maggie May doesn’t like cats, she will bark at them and chase, she can live happily with other dogs though. She needs a home with her parents home most of the time, no resident children or visiting children under 10.

Maggie May is in foster in North Lincolnshire. You will be required to travel to her foster home for the meet and greet. More information regarding our latest Covid-19 protocol will be made available following a successful telephone interview and home check.

Please read our adoption procedure prior to filling in the online form. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
