About Hollie

Hollie is a lovely 3-year-old Blenheim Cavalier that came into rescue from a pet home.

Sadly she is deaf, she may have been from birth and it doesn't phase her. She is doing very well learning hand signals, she will come and sit with no problem. She is a very affectionate girl and loves to sit on your knee or cuddle up to her humans and will become your shadow following you everywhere.

She loves her walks, she gets very excited and can be very vocal when getting ready for her walk but soon calms down. She would really benefit from further socialisation training and being able to experience new places and situations. We are looking for an active home for her with plenty of stimulation. She walks well but easily gets distracted chasing leaves or squirrels. She travels well in the car either in a crate or attached to a seat belt.

She currently sleeps in the kitchen but will quite happily sleep in her bed next to her adopter's bed. She can be left for a short period of time and settles very quickly.

Hollie is currently heart clear. Both of her knees are luxating, they are currently low-grade. She does not require intervention at this time but may need medication or surgery in the future which would not be covered under a new insurance policy.

We are looking for a forever home where Hollie will be an only dog, she can live with dog savvy children over 10 years old. Her adopters need to be around most of the time. Hollie is not cat tested but she does have a high prey drive, and like most spaniels will bark at and chase squirrels in the garden.

Hollie is in foster in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Her adopter must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract from their employer. The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must take place within 5 days of a successful home check.
