Bella black and tan Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Beautiful Bella is a petite 2-year-old black and tan Cavalier looking for a wonderful forever home.
Bella is a happy little girl who loves other dogs and people. She really enjoys her snuggles on the sofa. She very much appreciates her walks and whizzing around exploring. She can be initially anxious and yappy when she’s out and about, but this is improving. She does pull a bit, but she is extremely small, so she is not strong and needs some training.
She is very good around other dogs and would benefit from at least one young, confident dog in her forever home. She enjoys playtime! She loves the usual Cavalier things; she enjoys being outdoors sniffing and a busy day followed by sofa time in the evening.
Sadly Bella came to rescue following some grumpy behaviour (due to chiari pain) around a very young child, so she cannot be around young children. She also has been known to resource guard, so she needs an adopter willing to continue working with her in this area. We haven’t seen these behaviours at all since she started medication so we feel her medication is really working very well, and she has really relaxed.
Bella is heart clear and, aside from chiari pain, has no other known health problems. She will need to remain on her medication which is inexpensive. She is up to date with vaccinations and parasite preventatives.
She needs an adopter with patience and time to help with her training. She is an absolute sweetheart, and she just needs the right home to relax into. Resident and visiting children must be 10 and over. She is not cat tested.
Bella is in foster in North Lincolnshire. Her adopters must be prepared to purchase a lifetime insurance policy or have the means to cover any future health issues. Home workers must be able to produce a contract from their employer. Tenants must send a letter from their landlord stating they have permission to have the dog at their property.
The successful applicants must be able to travel to the foster home for the meet and greet and be immediately available for a home check. The meet and greet must occur within 5 days of a successful home check. Please can we remind you not to telephone the rescue regarding adoptions at any time.
