Zuma is a gorgeous Blenheim Cavalier boy that came into rescue due to his health problems. He is 2 in August.Zuma is an absolute sweetheart, super handsome and ever so loving to his humans. He adores other dogs, especially younger dogs that like to wrestle and rough play with him! We are looking for a special home for him where he will have a playful doggy friend or two.He can be destructive and will chew on toys, dog beds etc so his adopter will need eyes in the back of their head! He does need a lot of mental stimulation, he loves to play and needs a lot of love and attention. He has mild separation anxiety and wants to be with his humans as much as possible. He is great meeting other dogs and people when out. He can be a bit vocal at the vets for example when he's anxious but he is easily reassured.Zuma came into rescue having recently had surgery for a broken femur. He required another surgery while in rescue to help with post-op complications. After many sessions of hydrotherapy and gentle exercise he is doing really well. Sadly he has hip dysplasia as well. He has seen the neurologist and had an MRI scan, he has been diagnosed with chiari malformation with pain and mild syringomyelia. Zuma is on pain relief- which is inexpensive- for his conditions which must continue in his forever home. He cannot do miles and miles of exercise currently but can certainly keep building upon this.We have worked extremely hard to improve Zuma's health and set him up for his forever home.He is looking for a loving home with other dog(s), children over 8 years would be fine. His adopter must be around most of the time, he will not cope with being left for long periods home alone. He does not like cats or other small furries and will chase them.Zuma is in foster in North Lincolnshire. The successful applicants must be able to travel to foster home for the meet and greet.
